Whether you're a dedicated gamer, curious to see what local developers are creating, a parent looking for something fun to do with the family, or simply interested in New Zealand's creative technology sector, there's something to discover.

Come along, pick up a controller, try something new and see what Kiwi game developers are creating.

DAY: Saturday, 3rd October

OPEN: 9am - 4pm

VENUE: New Zealand International Convention Centre, 101 Hobson Street, Auckland CBD

WHERE: Find us in the Theatre on Level 5

ENTRY: $5.00 per person - under 5 yrs old are FREE - includes ticket to Extra Lives!

GOOD TO KNOW:

  • Open to the general public - we welcome families and kids of all ages

  • Join us for as little or as long as you like

  • There will be a range of games and experiences to try

  • Tickets include free entry to the Extra Lives Performance at 3pm in Te Waha

  • Games may be suitable for different ages, so check individual game info where provided

  • You meet the developers and the developers meet you, the gamer!

  • Kiwi Games Zone Open Day is a public event separate from, but associated with the NZ Game Developers Conference

  • Volunteers will be on hand to help if needed

It's an opportunity to discover local creators, try games you may not otherwise encounter, and get a glimpse into the ideas, skills and creativity behind New Zealand-made games.
